Learn how Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) can take your career to the next level. Join PRSA as we celebrate Accreditation month with a series of special events this April.

April 12, 2010 - PRSA Buffalo Niagara Chapter
Are you ready to obtain your APR? Maybe you just want to learn more about accreditation and what it means to your career?

Come to PRSA Buffalo Niagara’s APR free orientation session on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 6 p.m.  Ron Smith, APR, professor and chair of communication at Buffalo State, will provide an overview of the process and the resources available to you.  You’ll also get all the details on the chapter’s six-week prep class, also taught by Ron, which has been touted by many as the launching pad to achieving accreditation.   Register now!

April 10, April 17 and April 24 – PRSA Philadelphia Chapter
Three Saturdays to PR Excellence: A professional development primer and refresher for all levels of expertise.

This professional development primer and refresher for all levels has been extremely popular in previous years; it is highly recommended for professionals starting out in their PR careers; professionals from other disciplines who have been asked to take on a PR role; or more senior executives who are looking to sharpen their skills in areas such as communication, theory, research, ethics, and media relations.  It also serves as the Chapter's review course for APR candidates.

April 4, 2009 - APR Spring “Jump Start” Study Course Set in San Diego
A one day “Jump Start” study course will be offered in San Diego to prepare candidates for Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). Dr. Glen Broom, author of “Effective Public Relations” and professor emeritus at San Diego State University, will be the primary instructor for this course. Space is limited to 20 participants, first-registered, first-served.  Read more...


April 14, 2009 – Alabama Chapter PRSA / Accreditation Workshop in Birmingham, Ala.

10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Keep that New Year's Resolution of attaining your APR and register today for the Workshop, "The Art of Advancing from the APR Readiness Review."  Learn how to complete the Questionnaire for your best chance of success; finalize your Portfolio to set the tone for the process; use the Readiness Review panel as a mentoring source for the computer-based Exam for Accreditation; and, gain the experience you need to present a well-rounded body of work.   Moderated by Michael Tullier, APR, Immediate Past Chair, Universal Accreditation Board, and Amy Reagan, APR, 2008 Accredited PR professional.
